CEF Energy CB RES — cross-border renewable energy project status (6th call)
CINEA is accepting applications for CB RES status until 6 October 2026, 17:00 (Brussels time). The status does not bring money directly. Without it, however, cross-border renewable projects cannot apply for funding for works and studies under CEF Energy.

PEO 5.f.3 — training educators for children from disadvantaged backgrounds (early education)
A competitive PEO call worth 26,275,200 euro from the ESF+ for universities with early education programmes and for Ministry of Education (MEC) structures, including the Teaching Staff Houses (Casele Corpului Didactic), that train educators for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Ministry of Energy is offering 150 million euro from the Modernisation Fund for new stand-alone battery storage installations owned by companies with CAEN code 35. The aid covers up to 100% of eligible costs, with a maximum of 69,000 euro/MWh and 15 million euro per company.

PEO — ALMA Initiative: training, placements in another EU state and employment for NEET young people (action 2.a.2)
A competitive PEO call worth €19,714,235 (ESF+) for projects that prepare NEET young people, arrange a supervised work placement of 2–6 months for them in another EU state and then support them to find a job or return to education. Submission in MySMIS2021 until 30 October 2026.

An EISMEA call worth €30.2 million (ERDF) for interregional consortia bringing mature innovations (minimum TRL 6) to market in less developed regions. Projects usually receive €2–10 million, with 70% funding. Third-party SMEs can receive up to €100,000 each.

PCI/PMI energy projects — the third Union list (transmission, storage, smart grids)
The European Commission is accepting applications for the third PCI/PMI energy list. The status does not bring money directly. It makes the project eligible for CEF Energy grants and gives it faster permitting, through a single national authority, in no more than 3.5 years.

State aid scheme for the purchase of zero-emission vehicles for road and rail freight transport, maritime and inland waterway transport (Modernisation Fund)
Grants from the Modernisation Fund of up to 18 million euro per undertaking, for transport operators replacing lorries, freight locomotives or vessels with zero-emission vehicles. Five calls are open in MySMIS 2021 until 16 November 2026.
