Until when can projects be submitted under e-Mobility RO, sub-measure 1?
The call opened on 28 September 2026 at 12:00 and closes on 27 November 2026 at 23:59. Applications are submitted online only, via the MySMIS 2021 platform. Projects submitted after the deadline are rejected.
What is the budget of the 2026 e-Mobility RO call?
The call has EUR 49,500,000 (259,780,950 lei) from the Modernisation Fund. Sub-measure 1 has a total of EUR 100 million across all call windows, and the whole e-Mobility RO scheme has EUR 299 million.
What is the maximum funding a company can receive?
An undertaking can receive no more than EUR 30 million, cumulatively across all call windows, and no more than 40% of the scheme budget. The aid covers up to 100% of eligible costs. Only one project is submitted in each call window, and it may include several locations.
Who can apply to e-Mobility RO?
Micro-enterprises, SMEs and large enterprises can apply, provided they are registered with the ONRC no later than the first payment and hold the right of use over the site. Newly established companies and companies in difficulty are not eligible. You can apply individually or in partnership.
How are projects selected?
Selection is by competitive bidding. 85% of the score depends on the aid requested per installed kW (the lower it is, the higher the score), and 15% on the total installed power. Where scores are equal, the project with the higher value takes priority. Contracts are signed between 20 and 28 May 2027.
What technical requirements must the stations meet?
For light-duty vehicles, at least two charging points of at least 150 kW each and at least 600 kW in total are required. For heavy-duty vehicles, at least two charging points of at least 350 kW each are required, with 3,600 kW in total on the TEN-T core network and 1,500 kW on the comprehensive network. The points must have a CCS Combo 2 connector and be accessible to the public 24/7.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
We tell you before any contract is signed, and if another suitable programme exists, we point you to it.
