Frequently asked questions
What EU funds are available for agriculture, forestry and fishing in 2026?
We are tracking one open or announced programme whose CAEN list includes section A activities: the Regional Participation Fund (FPR) — IDB loans with a 40% grant for SMEs in the North-East, South-East and Bucharest-Ilfov. In addition, 15 programmes are open to any sector.
Which CAEN codes fall under section A?
Section A ("Agriculture, forestry and fishing") covers CAEN divisions 01, 02 and 03. The guides give the eligible list by class (4 digits), so your business's exact code matters.
How many active businesses are there in agriculture, forestry and fishing?
29,882 active businesses have their main CAEN code in section A; 17,745 had employees in their latest financial statements and 917 were established in the last two years.
Does it matter whether the CAEN code is primary or secondary?
It depends on the guide: some programmes require the funded activity to be the main code, while others accept a secondary code authorised at the investment location. Companies now hold codes under CAEN revision 2 or 3; the lists here include the equivalences between the two revisions.
