Frequently asked questions
Can projects for SME digitalisation under the South-East Regional Programme be submitted now?
No. As of 27 September 2026, ADR South-East has not published the applicant's guide or launched the call for Action 1.3. The estimated calendar of July 2026 provides for opening in September 2026 and closing in December 2026, subject to approval of the de minimis scheme.
What is the budget of the SME digitalisation call in the South-East Region?
The estimated budget is 9,090,204 euro, of which 7,726,673 euro ERDF, for the whole South-East Region. There is also a separate call of 1,572,114 euro for SMEs in the ITI Danube Delta area. The budgets are estimates and may change.
Who can apply to the digitalisation call under the South-East Regional Programme?
SMEs (micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises) from urban and rural areas of the South-East Region can apply, that is, from the counties of Brăila, Buzău, Constanța, Galați, Tulcea and Vrancea. The call is competitive, so projects are selected by score.

Action 1.3 funds tangible and intangible assets for digitalisation (no construction works), cybersecurity and data protection audits, AI-based language technologies, digital modernisation and knowledge transfer, as well as websites and online sales tools.
What type of state aid applies to the South-East SME digitalisation call?
According to the ADR South-East calendar, the call will be granted as de minimis aid. The launch is conditional on approval of the de minimis scheme, which is why the calendar dates are indicative.
