Frequently asked questions
Can an SME without a research department apply under PoCIDIF 1.4?
The target group of the PoCIDIF 1.4 call is employees who can show involvement in RDI or technology transfer activities. If the company has no such employees and cannot document this involvement, it falls outside the scope of the call, even if it is an SME.
How much does an SME pay from its own funds under PoCIDIF 1.4?
For SMEs, PoCIDIF 1.4 support is de minimis aid of up to 90% of eligible costs, so the company pays at least 10%. Ineligible costs, if any, are borne entirely by the beneficiary. Everything falls within the de minimis ceiling of 300,000 euro over 3 years.
Do research organisations pay co-financing under PoCIDIF 1.4?
No. According to the official information on the call, research centres and institutes and other research organisations receive 100% of eligible costs.
Until when can projects be submitted under PoCIDIF 1.4?
The call opened on 31 July 2026, at 10:00, and the deadline shown on the official platform after the guide was amended by MIPE Order No. 1489 is 30 October 2026, 17:00. It is a competitive call with a deadline, so projects are not approved in the order in which they are submitted.
Can laboratory equipment be bought under PoCIDIF 1.4?
It is not provided for. The officially published eligible activities cover training, mobility, workshops and study visits, plus project management, publicity and audit. The money goes into training people, not into equipment or construction.
Which activities are mandatory in a PoCIDIF 1.4 project?
Professional training programmes concluding with a diploma or certificate, project management, publicity and the financial audit are mandatory. In addition, you can include applied training modules, training placements, workshops, temporary mobility and study visits.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
