Who can apply
Micro-enterprises (companies established under Law 31/1990) with their registered office in the North-East Region (Bacău, Botoșani, Iași, Neamț, Suceava, Vaslui) that make the investment in the region, in urban or rural areas. They must have at least one full fiscal year of activity and operating profit in the fiscal year before submission.

Frequently asked questions
Until when can projects be submitted under call 2 for micro-enterprises in the North-East?
Funding applications are submitted exclusively through MySMIS2021/SMIS2021+. Submission opened on 28 September 2026 at 14:00 and closes on 28 October 2026 at 14:00.
How much can a micro-enterprise receive under this call?
Non-refundable funding is between 100,000 and 300,000 EUR per project and is granted as de minimis aid. The applicant must provide an own contribution of at least 10% of eligible costs and pay all ineligible costs.
Who can apply?
Micro-enterprises established under Law 31/1990 with their registered office in the North-East Region (Bacău, Botoșani, Iași, Neamț, Suceava, Vaslui) can apply, provided they make the investment in the region, in urban or rural areas. The company must have at least one full fiscal year of activity and an operating profit above 0 lei in the fiscal year before submission.
Which investments are funded?
The call funds the development or diversification of production or service capacity (construction, machinery, equipment), new technologies and automation, intangible assets (patents, licences, software), marketing and branding, digitalisation and renewable energy systems. Projects containing only renewable energy, intangible assets or marketing are not eligible.
How are projects selected?
The call is competitive, with a deadline. Projects scoring fewer than 70 points in the technical and financial evaluation are rejected. After all applications have been evaluated, projects are ranked by score and funded within the limits of the 20.37 million EUR budget.
By when must the project be completed?
Project implementation must be completed no later than 31 December 2029. The investment must be maintained for 3 years after the final payment, and the average number of employees must be maintained or increased over 3 fiscal years after completion.

It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
