Who can apply
The following can apply: administrative-territorial units (UAT), local public administration institutions with legal personality under the coordination of local councils, and state primary and secondary schools. Partnerships between these entities are also eligible, as are partnerships with intercommunity development associations for ESF+ and social inclusion activities. Projects can be in urban or rural areas, but only within the ITI Danube Delta area, for primary education (preparatory class and grades I–IV) and lower secondary education (grades V–VIII).

Frequently asked questions
Can you already submit a project under call 5.2 ITI Danube Delta?
No. On 28 September 2026, call PRSE/5.2/ITI/1/2026 was still at the stage of a guide in public consultation. The consultation ended on 25 September 2026. Electronic submission in MySMIS2021 begins only after ADR South-East publishes the final guide and the submission period.
How much can a school in the ITI Danube Delta area receive under call 5.2?
The maximum non-refundable funding is 1,000,000 euro per project, and the amount includes VAT. The total budget of call PRSE/5.2/ITI/1/2026 is 4,910,453 euro, of which 2,755,866.48 euro from the ERDF. The budget is enough for approximately five projects at the maximum ceiling.
Can schools in the ITI Danube Delta area apply to the regional call of 2 million euro per project?
No. The regional call PRSE/5.2/1/2026, open until 30 December 2026 at 14:00, explicitly excludes the ITI Danube Delta area. Schools in this area have the dedicated call PRSE/5.2/ITI/1/2026, with a ceiling of 1 million euro per project.
Which levels of education are eligible under call 5.2 ITI Danube Delta?
The ADR South-East announcement mentions primary education (preparatory class and grades I–IV) and lower secondary education (grades V–VIII). Projects can be in urban or rural areas, but only within the ITI Danube Delta area.
What activities besides construction can be funded?
Through the ESF+ component, of at most 15% of the total eligible value, you can fund children's nutrition, educational support, counselling and specialised assistance, as well as school desegregation measures. The activities must complement the investment in the building and are aimed at pupils, parents and teaching staff of the funded school.
Who can submit projects under call 5.2 ITI Danube Delta?
Town halls (UATs), local public administration institutions with legal personality under the coordination of local councils, and state primary and secondary schools can submit projects. Partnerships between these entities are also accepted, as are partnerships with intercommunity development associations for ESF+ and social inclusion activities.
