National crafts and artisan fair, Târgu Jiu 2026: free participation and 2,500 lei (MEDAT)
MEDAT is organising the national crafts and handicrafts fair in Târgu Jiu on 22–25 October 2026. Selected exhibitors take part free of charge and receive a lump sum of 2,500 lei for accommodation and transport. Registration is on sme-ecotech.gov.ro, in order of registration.

Cooperatives, associations and foundations can register up to 10 exhibitors, on behalf of the craftspeople or artisans who are their members.

The fair takes place in Târgu Jiu, on 22–25 October 2026, on the esplanade of the "Constantina Diță" Municipal Stadium in Gorj county. It is organised by AIMMT Ploiești, under MEDAT.

Registration is done on the sme-ecotech.gov.ro platform, from 5 October 2026, 10:00, until 15 October 2026, 20:00. The deadline may be extended until all available places are taken.
What support do selected exhibitors receive?
They take part in the fair free of charge and receive a flat-rate sum of 2,500 lei for their accommodation and for the transport of themselves and their products.

How are exhibitors selected?
Admission is in the order of registration, provided the eligibility criteria are met. The total number of places has not been publicly announced.
