Frequently asked questions
Which costs does ARICE cover under the Export Promotion Programme?
ARICE covers 100% of the rental and fitting-out of the exhibition space and stand, of the transport, insurance and handling of exhibits, and of promotional materials. It also covers 50% of external transport, accommodation and medical insurance for one participant from each company. The aid is de minimis aid, under ARICE Order No. 127/2024.
What is the deadline for submitting a file for a PPE fair?
The complete file is submitted on the ARICE platform no later than 70 days before the start of the event. Files submitted after this deadline are not accepted. For Gitex Global Dubai (8–11 December 2026), the last fair on the 2026 list, the deadline is 29 September 2026.
Does your company need to be a member of an association to take part?
No. ARICE states that membership of a non-governmental organisation is not required to register for fairs and economic missions. Sector associations appear on the list only as the bodies that organise each event.
How many fairs can a company attend in one year?
A company can apply for a maximum of 4 fairs per year. In addition, the total de minimis aid received over the last 3 years cannot exceed 300,000 euro.
What obligations does the company have after the fair?
6 months after the event ends, the company must send the completed efficiency form to ARICE and to the sector employers' association. If it does not send it on time, it is excluded from selection for future events.
What is the programme budget in 2026?
The de minimis scheme for international fairs and exhibitions has 150,000 thousand lei in 2026 and 180,000 thousand lei in 2027. The scheme for economic missions has 20,000 thousand lei in 2026 and 30,000 thousand lei in 2027. Both schemes apply until 31 December 2027.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
We tell you before any contract is signed, and if another suitable programme exists, we point you to it.
