Frequently asked questions
Can any school in the North-East Region receive money from this call?
No. Only the applicants and projects in Annex 1 of the guide can receive funding: unfinished education investments whose PNRR contract was unilaterally terminated no later than the end of the technical and financial evaluation, and which have at least one works or supply contract in force, concluded on or after 1 January 2021.
How much must the beneficiary contribute?
For eligible costs, nothing: funding is 100% of the eligible value. Ineligible costs are not covered by the call and generally remain the beneficiary's responsibility, for example unrecognised price updates or works unrelated to completion.
Can costs already paid under the PNRR be funded again?
No. The call covers only the activities and costs needed to complete the investment, with no overlap with what has already been financed or reimbursed under the PNRR. That is why a bill of quantities showing exactly the remaining works, alongside the statements of works already paid, is the basis of the funding application.
What happens if the works contract has been terminated?
To be eligible, at least one works and/or supply contract relating to the investment, concluded on or after 1 January 2021, must be in force. A terminated contract does not meet this condition, so the status of each contract (suspended, terminated, ongoing) must be checked.
Until when can comments on the guide be submitted?
Until 21 October 2026, through the online form of ADR North-East. The consultation lasts 5 working days from the publication on 14 October 2026. If a project that should be eligible is missing from Annex 1, the consultation is the time to flag it.
When can projects be submitted?
The opening date for submissions has not yet been announced. It will be set after the consultation, when the final guide is published. The minimum and maximum value per project, the type of call and the submission system will also be confirmed then.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
We tell you before any contract is signed, and if another suitable programme exists, we point you to it.
