Frequently asked questions
Can I obtain a €1 million loan for a single investment under the PoCIDIF scheme with an FNGCIMM guarantee?
No. The scheme allows a maximum of €500,000 for investment loans and a maximum of €500,000 for working capital loans. The cumulative ceiling on guaranteed financing for one company is €1,000,000.
Is the grant under the PoCIDIF 1.5.2 scheme paid into your account?
No, the grant is not a separate sum for expenses. It is provided as an interest subsidy, for the first 12 months on working capital or the first 24 months on investments, and as a 10% or 20% reduction of the capital instalments, linked to the loan guaranteed by FNGCIMM.
Where do I submit the application for the PoCIDIF guaranteed loan?
The application is not submitted to the ministry or to FNGCIMM, but to one of the partner banks or non-bank financial institutions selected by FNGCIMM for PoCIDIF. The bank checks eligibility, signs the loan agreement, disburses the funds and monitors the loan. The list of partners is published on the FNGCIMM website.
What conditions must be met for the 10% or 20% capital rebate?
The rebate can be granted after at least 12 months from the signing of the loan. The loan must have been repaid in accordance with the contract, and the financial statements must show a turnover increase of at least 2%. The 20% rebate applies to investment loans that contribute to the company's innovation or digitalisation.
Can companies from Bucharest-Ilfov and companies that are no longer SMEs apply?
Yes, the scheme covers all regions, but companies in Bucharest-Ilfov can receive no more than 22% of the total portfolio. Small mid-caps can also apply: companies that are not SMEs, have up to 499 employees and an annual turnover of no more than €100 million and/or a balance sheet of no more than €86 million.
Can agricultural companies apply for PoCIDIF guaranteed loans?
Primary agricultural production is excluded, as are fishing and aquaculture. The processing of agricultural and fishery products is excluded where the aid is determined by the price or quantity of the products. Other activities of the same company should be checked with the bank against the conditions of the scheme.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
We tell you before any contract is signed, and if another suitable programme exists, we point you to it.
