Who can apply

Consortia from EU Member States and associated countries. The eligible countries are those listed in Annex B of the General Annexes to the Horizon Europe Work Programme. Romania, as a Member State, is eligible. Consortia can include city halls, universities, research institutes, companies and NGOs.

The amount is fixed for each topic, between €3.5 million (BUSINESS-01, BUSINESS-02) and €6.3 million (PARTICIPATION-01). For REGEN-02 the amount is €5 million, and for REGEN-01 it is €4 million.

Can organisations from Romania apply?

Yes. Romania is an EU Member State, so Romanian city halls, universities, companies and NGOs can join consortia, subject to the conditions in Annex B of the General Annexes to the Horizon Europe Work Programme.

What is the 0.8% allocation for the NEB hub?

Projects are expected to allocate at least 0.8% of their budget to collaboration with the "New European Bauhaus hub for results and impact", funded under Horizon Europe. The money is used to share results and assess impact.

Does the project have to be demonstrated in several countries?

For several topics, yes. For example, REGEN-02 requires demonstration on three buildings in three different Member or associated states: at least one heritage building and at least one with social and affordable housing.
