PR South-East 6.2: rural tourism and heritage, deadline 30 December and a new call in the Delta Programme sheet · Call window open South-East Regional Programme 2021-2027, Action 6.2 — tourism and cultural heritage in non-urban areas (call PRSE/6/6.2/1/2025)

The Managing Authority for the South-East Regional Programme (ADR Sud-Est) has extended the submission deadline for call PRSE/6/6.2/1/2025 to 30 December 2026, 14:00. The call funds tourism and cultural heritage projects in non-urban areas, through Corrigendum No 5 published on 23 September 2026. The call is non-competitive: only projects already prioritised at county partnership level may apply. Separately, a new call for the Danube Delta ITI area, with €25.19 million and projects between €100,000 and €3 million, is in public consultation until 6 October 2026.

In brief

  • Programme: South-East Regional Programme 2021-2027, Action 6.2 "Making the most of tourism potential in non-urban areas"
  • Authority: ADR Sud-Est, as Managing Authority of the South-East Regional Programme
  • Beneficiaries: local authorities (UAT) (counties and communes), partnerships between UATs, ADIs (inter-community development associations), places of worship (for heritage), partnerships with local public institutions or with NGOs
  • Call type: non-competitive, with prioritisation at local partnership level, up to 200% of each county's initial allocation
  • Submission period: until 30 December 2026, 14:00 (after Corrigendum No 5)
  • New Danube Delta ITI call: €25,188,246, between €100,000 and €3,000,000 per project, in consultation from 16 September to 6 October 2026
  • Status: the regional call is open only for prioritised projects, while the ITI call is in public consultation and has not been launched

What has changed under Corrigendum No 5?

The only announced change is the deadline. The deadline has been moved from 30 October 2026, 14:00 (set by Corrigendum No 4 of 17 August 2026) to 30 December 2026, 14:00. ADR Sud-Est justified the extension by "the need for more time to finalise the technical documentation and approvals for the projects". Version 6 of the applicant's guide and its annexes was published together with the corrigendum.

The deadline has been moved several times before. Corrigendum No 3 of 5 June 2026 set the closing of the call at 31 August 2026. Corrigendum No 4 moved it to 30 October, and now to 30 December.

Who can still apply under the regional call?

This is the most important condition. The call is not open to any commune that comes forward with an idea now. Through Corrigendum No 3, the Managing Authority set that only funding applications for prioritised projects that fit within 200% of the county's initial allocation may be submitted. The following can be prioritised:

  • projects on the reserve list that fit within the 200% limit;
  • new projects identified through the project-sheet calls organised by the county partnerships.

County councils organised these sheet calls in summer 2026. For example, Buzău County Council requested sheets by 30 June 2026. The current extension gives applicants who have already been prioritised more time to finish the technical documentation and approvals. It does not reopen selection to new projects.

What types of projects are funded?

According to ADR Sud-Est documents, Action 6.2 supports:

  • improving tourism infrastructure in non-urban areas with tourism potential, including innovative projects that diversify services and activities for tourists and increase the accessibility of tourist attractions;
  • developing tourist, spa and balneoclimatic resorts in non-urban areas;
  • the conservation, protection, restoration and sustainable use of cultural and historical heritage, including related services.

For existing buildings, Corrigendum No 1 clarified that the energy audit report, the thermal and energy analysis sheet and the energy performance certificate must be presented.

What does the new call for the Danube Delta ITI bring?

On 15 September 2026, ADR Sud-Est put a separate call for Action 6.2 ("Making the most of tourism potential and preserving cultural heritage in non-urban areas") out for public consultation, dedicated to the Danube Delta ITI territory. The data in the consultation document are:

  • a total allocation of €25,188,246, of which €21,846,948.06 from the ERDF and €3,341,297.94 from the state budget;
  • funding between €100,000 and €3,000,000 per project;
  • applicants: Tulcea County and the communes in the Danube Delta ITI area, partnerships between them, ADIs with at least one commune in the ITI area, places of worship (for heritage), and partnerships with local public institutions, with associations and foundations or, with Tulcea County as leader, with destination management organisations;
  • projects must be included in the Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy of the Danube Delta and be prioritised at ITI partnership level.

Comments must be sent to ADR Sud-Est by 6 October 2026, 24:00. The guide is in consultation and may change. The launch date has not yet been announced.

What this means for your business

Our recommendation: if you are a commune with a prioritised project in the regional call, use the extra two months to complete the approvals and technical documentation. Do not leave submission for the last week of December, when the holidays and electronic signature problems arise. There have been extensions before, but do not count on another one.

For communes in the Danube Delta ITI area, now is the right time. Check whether your project idea appears in the ITI Strategy and send concrete comments in the consultation, for example on values, costs or partnerships. Then prepare the technical documentation and proof of rights over the property. Tourism businesses are not direct applicants, but they can benefit indirectly from the infrastructure delivered. If you do not know which programme your project fits, you can use the eligibility check.
