Frequently asked questions
Who can apply to the PoIDS call for victims of human trafficking?
County DGASPCs and those of the Bucharest municipality's sectors, accredited public social service providers and NGOs specialising in assisting victims of human trafficking and child trafficking can apply. The Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity can also apply.
Can a town hall apply for a centre for victims of human trafficking?
The town hall does not appear as such in the list of applicants. An accredited public social assistance service organised at local level may fall within the category of accredited public social service providers, but the exact definition must be checked in the specific guide.
When can projects be submitted?
Applications are submitted electronically in MySMIS2021, from 26 October 2026, 16:00, until 25 January 2027, 16:00. The call is competitive, so projects are ranked by score rather than approved in order of submission.
What is the call's budget and how much can a project receive?
The total allocation is EUR 12,820,716.12, from the ERDF and ESF+. The official call page does not publish the minimum and maximum values per project; these are in the Applicant's Guide – Specific Conditions, which should be consulted before budgeting.
Does it fund only the construction of crisis centres?
No. The ERDF component funds the crisis centre infrastructure needed for accommodation services, while the ESF+ component funds integrated services for victims, which complement accommodation. The target group is victims of human trafficking and victims of child trafficking.
Which regions does the call apply to?
The call covers both the more developed region (Bucharest-Ilfov) and the less developed regions. The programme is the Social Inclusion and Dignity Programme 2021–2027, Priority P08, Action 8.2.
How long does it take to prepare the application?
It depends on the complexity of the project and the documents you already have. The first step is the eligibility analysis, which tells you what needs to be prepared.
What happens if I do not qualify?
We tell you before any contract is signed, and if another suitable programme exists, we point you to it.
