Programme sheet · Call open PR Centru — Intervention 1.2.1: participation of SMEs and RDI organisations in structures, partnerships and collaboration programmes ADR Centru (Regional Development Agency), the Managing Authority for the Centre Regional Programme, has issued Corrigendum No. 2 to the applicant's guide for Intervention 1.2.1 – Participation of SMEs and RDI organisations in structures, partnerships and collaboration programmes. The submission period for funding applications now ends on 9 November 2026. The call was originally scheduled to remain open until 31 December 2027, so companies that were planning to apply next year have only one month left.

What has changed under Corrigendum No 2?
According to the official announcement, the amendment "concerns the end of the submission period for funding applications on 09.11.2026". On the call page, the closing date was 31 December 2027. The submission window is therefore shortened by more than a year.
The announcement does not state the time at which submission closes on 9 November. The exact time must be checked in the Summary of amendments and in the consolidated guide published by ADR Centru. The amendment is not accompanied by an officially announced budget reallocation.
What does intervention 1.2.1 fund?
The intervention supports the participation of SMEs and RDI organisations in the Centre Region in structures, partnerships and collaboration programmes for research and innovation. It is directly linked to Horizon Europe: the guide provides that, when setting the maximum eligible funding value for a project, the provisions of the Horizon Europe calls for proposals apply. The stated aim is to develop research and innovation capacities and smart specialisation skills, through networks between companies, research centres and universities, in the areas set out in the regional smart specialisation strategy (RIS3).
The programme contribution is 100% of the value of eligible costs. What this means in practice for each project (which costs form part of the base, how it relates to the Horizon Europe grant) is detailed in the applicant's guide. We recommend reading the consolidated guide, not just the summaries.
How and by when do you apply?
- Check whether your organisation and your collaboration project meet the conditions in the consolidated guide following Corrigendum No. 2.
- Prepare the documents proving participation in the European partnership or programme, plus the eligibility documents required by the guide.
- Submit the funding application electronically, in MySMIS2021/SMIS2021+, by 9 November 2026.
The call is non-competitive, and applications are assessed as they are submitted, not at the end after a ranking. Even so, an application that needs to be clarified several times takes time, and the closing date leaves no room for postponements.
What this means for your business
Our recommendation: if your company or institute in the Centre Region is already a partner in a Horizon Europe project or has a grant agreement about to be signed, treat 9 November as a firm deadline and start your application this week. In practice, the following take the longest:
- obtaining the documents from the consortium coordinator (the grant agreement, the partner's budget, the description of activities), especially when the coordinator is in another country;
- aligning the budget requested under PR Centru with the budget approved in Horizon Europe, so that the same costs are not funded twice;
- creating the organisation's account and profile in MySMIS2021, if one does not already exist.
The most common trap with this type of call is assuming that "there is still time until 2027". Organisations waiting for the results of Horizon Europe evaluations in 2026 may miss the call if their projects are approved after 9 November. For them, ADR Centru has not yet officially announced a later call window. If you are not sure whether you qualify, you can start with the eligibility check.
Frequently asked questions
Until when can applications be submitted under PR Centru 1.2.1?
Until 9 November 2026, according to Corrigendum No. 2 issued by ADR Centru. Before the amendment, the call was scheduled to remain open until 31 December 2027. The exact closing time must be checked in the official call documents.
How much does the project cost the beneficiary?
According to the official call page, the programme contribution is 100% of the value of eligible costs. Ineligible costs remain the responsibility of the beneficiary, and the maximum ceiling per project is set according to the provisions of the Horizon Europe calls.
Who can apply?
SMEs and research, development and innovation organisations in the Centre Region (the counties of Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș and Sibiu) that take part in structures, partnerships and collaboration programmes in research and innovation, under the conditions set out in the applicant's guide.
Does the order of submission matter?
The call is non-competitive and open for continuous submission, so applications do not compete with one another through a final ranking. However, the budget is limited to €10.39 million and the closing date has been brought forward, so submitting as early as possible, with a complete application, reduces the risks.
Will there be a new call window after 9 November?
None has been officially announced yet. Corrigendum No. 2 only sets the end of the submission period. Any continuation would be communicated by ADR Centru through new documents.
