Who can apply?

The applicant must be a legal entity, lawfully established and registered for tax purposes in Romania. The guide lists the following as eligible:

  • associations and foundations (NGOs);
  • local public authorities;
  • social service providers;
  • vocational training centres;
  • educational institutions;
  • partnerships between these entities.

An entity may take part in no more than 5 projects in this call. The announcement does not say whether a partnership is mandatory. The own contribution is calculated according to tables 5-6 of the Applicant's Guide – General Conditions PIDS 2021-2027 and differs depending on the type of applicant.

Who benefits and which activities are funded?

The target group is single-parent families with children in the ITI Țara Făgărașului Micro-region who are at risk of poverty or social exclusion. Check the call documentation to see which local authorities (UAT) belong to the micro-region.

The guide provides for four activities:

  1. identifying families and assessing their needs (relevant activity);
  2. support for labour market integration and for education (mandatory);
  3. measures for work-life balance, including childcare services (mandatory);
  4. integrated psychological, social and legal support services (relevant activity).

How and by when do you apply?

The application is submitted in MySMIS2021, between 30 September 2026, 18:00, and 27 November 2026, 16:00. The call is competitive, so projects are scored and ranked after the call window closes. The call documentation can be downloaded as a ZIP archive from the call page on mfe.gov.ro.

What this means for your organisation

Our recommendation: the budget is small for an entire micro-region, so few projects will probably be funded. The applicants with the best chances are those who can show from the outset that they reach real families:

  • Town halls and public social assistance services already hold records of single-parent families receiving allowances or benefits. A partnership with an NGO experienced in children's services makes the project more credible.
  • Social service providers should check in good time the licence and accreditation of the services they propose, especially for childcare services.
  • The mandatory activities (employment and childcare) must have realistic indicators. A project offering only counselling does not meet the required structure.

Check in the call documentation whether your UAT belongs to the ITI Țara Făgărașului Micro-region before you start work. Projects whose target group is outside the micro-region are not eligible. For an initial check you can use the eligibility check.
